Wineries Tour
Madiran, St Mont, Jurancon and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh are the wines of the region. Madiran is reputedly the healthiest wine in the world due to the use of the Tannet grape. There are great tours at Chateau de Crouseilles or Chateau Montus.
Cultural Sites
Lourdes offers an amazing spiritual visit at one of the top attraction in France.
The beautiful city of Pau is only 55 minutes away.
Auch - the catheral city and the statue of D'Artagnan.
The famous Jazz Festival at Marciac has been running for over 40 years during the last weeks of July and August.

Leisure Activities
For GP fans the annual Pau GP in May is not to be missed.
Paddleboarding at the Lac de Lourdes or on the Atlantic coast at Biarritz or St. Jean-De-Luz.
Take the cable car to the Pic du Midi - one of the highest points in the Pyrenees and its astronomy observatory.
Ski-ing at La Mongie or Barèges which are just an hour away.
Birds
There is a vast variety of birds in the area including some resident barn owls. You will also see hoopoes, kites, buzzards and green woodpeckers. There is a wonderful bird display at Donjon-des-Aigles in the Pyrenees about 40 minutes away.
Stargazing
There is very little light pollution here so watching the Perseid Meteor Shower is a great experience, as well as looking at all the other constellations.
